2008 CLF Summer Pool Kick-Off

Sunday May 18

CLF residents and friends enjoyed a pleasant Sunday afternoon at the Pool Complex with pool activities and games for children of all ages, separate raffles for children and adults, a silent auction, and just relaxing by the pool side. Hamburgers, hot dogs, non-alcoholic beverages and snacks were for sale for those who chose not to bring their own picnic baskets. Delicious BBQ was sold, hot off the grill, by our local Boy Scout Troop 952.
This event is sponsored by the Clear Lake Forest Women's Club with assistance from the CLF Mom's Co-op and generous support by some of our neighborhood merchants.

4th Annual Polar Bear Dare - 5 January 2008

Great weather! Little wind and the water wasn't all that cold (around 58 degrees)- Hot Chocolate, cookie cake and Ice Cream !! Over 40 hearty swimmers took the plunge, earning the coveted CLF Polar Bear Dare collectible cup. That included all 5 CLFCA Board members - a tough bunch. Total turnout was about 75 - probably the largest crowd since the event's inception. Thanks also to Gulf Coast Aquatics for donating a large cookie cake and providing two hardy lifeguards.

Hot Air Balloon launch - 2 November 2007

The Red Again crew from Hickory Creek, Texas conducted a shakedown launch from Baronridge park Friday morning in preparation for the weekend RE/MAX Ballunar Liftoff Festival at Johnson Space Center. Flight and navigational objectives were to cross the lake and land at the JSC target site.

Fall Spruce-Up - 27 October 2007

We got several projects taken care of Saturday with participation from the solid dependable residents that always show up along with some members of the Girl and Boy Scouts.  Our goal in having these events is to generate some neighbor-hood camaraderie and save the Association money.  We truly appreciate those that volunteer and only wish more would make the effort. It really is a good way to meet residents and support your neighborhood

CLF Pot Luck Dinner - 29 April 2006

On Saturday, April 29, it poured down rain over all of the Houston area. But by 6:30 PM the sun had been out to dry up Clear Lake Forest and to shine on the 50-60 residents who gathered at the pool for a potluck dinner. The food was plentiful and delicious and the company was delightful. It was fun to see old friends and make some new ones. < Thanks go to Joanne Palladini and those who helped plan and organize the successful event >

Spring Spruce-Up and Campout - 8 April, 2006

This Spruce-Up was very productive and while many of the volunteers were those regulars that always support the community, we thank all that took time away from doing their home chores to help the community, including some volunteers from Troop 952. We now have new benches at the Park pier and new seating for the bleachers at the Pool. We’ll soon be installing a new non-skid surface on all the concrete floor area at the Pool Building that will make that area safer and more attractive.
There was also a good showing for the campout/cookout Saturday night and breakfast the following Sunday morning
